Sumitomo front Toughened Glass A3

Quality as CE standardToughened Glass is made by heating flat glass to just below its softening temperature and suddenly chilling it with jets of cold air. It results in the outer skins under powerful compressive stress and the interior with severe tensile stress. In consequence, the impact applied to the glass will be overcome by the compressional stress on the surfaces to assure safety of use.

Clear Toughened glass

Clear Toughened glass is heating the float glass to the transforming temperature, then do fast cooling to get compression stress on the glass surface. During the cooling process, the surface of toughened glass is solidified, due to fast cooling, and the internal part of the glass is cooled slowly. The internal park is cooled continuously and shrinks, then the glass surface generates pressure, the internal park generates tensile pressure. Therefore the strength and heat resistance stability of the glass are improved.

Feature of toughened glass

1) High Strength: The strength is as 3-5 times as the common glass, anti impact force is as 5-10 times as the common glass.

2) Safety: The broken toughened glass shows little fragments without sharp edges, which reduces its damage to human greatly
